The International Relations Office of the Centro Paula Souza (CPS) will promote the 6th edition of the Short Term from July 20 to July 31, 2026. In 2026, the theme of the Program is “Language and Brazilian Culture” and “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation“; it will be taught at Fatec Sebrae – Alameda Nothmann, 598 – Campos Elíseos, São Paulo – SP, Brazil.

This course promotes a 1-week cultural and academic immersion for international students interested in improving their communication skills in Portuguese and live Brazilian culture at its best.
Or: 10:00 – 12:00: Galeria do Rock: A cultural and commercial landmark in São Paulo: a gallery, a meeting point for diverse tribes, and a space that celebrates the city’s diversity, including rock, hip hop, rap, skate and alternative culture. 12:00 – 14:00: Have lunch and a walk in Copan. To enjoy a bohemian night in São Paulo, we suggest: Rua Augusta: is a hub for cultural events, with art galleries, bars, and clubs.

Learn a little about the instructors for the short-term 2026
Caio Flavio Stettiner Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas – São Paulo (1991). Completed postgraduate studies in Higher Education Teaching (2008) and Logistics of Commercial Operations (2009). Obtained a Master’s degree in Education from Universidade Cidade de São Paulo (2013) and a PhD in Business Administration from Centro Universitário Campo Limpo Paulista. Currently serves as Professor at Centro Estadual de Educação Tecnológica Paula Souza (Fatec Sebrae and Fatec Zona Leste), teaching Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Business Management and Human Resources Management programs. Has significant professional experience as an entrepreneur in the field of Foreign Trade. Serves as a Guest Lecturer in MBA programs in Business Management at Fundação Getulio Vargas – Executive Education (IDE/FGV-RJ), SENAC, and Faculdade Sebrae. Also supervises dissertations in distance-learning MBA programs at USP-ESALQ, USP-ECA, and USP-EACH.
Raphael Mota Garrido Has more than ten years of experience in herbicide discovery, working with both natural and synthetic compounds. He is a co-author of two patent applications, with emphasis on the development of new molecules with potential agricultural applications. He completed a research exchange at the Weed Research Laboratory at Colorado State University (USA) under the supervision of Dr. Franck Emmanuel Dayan, where he further developed his expertise in weed science and herbicide modes of action. In 2013, he received the Honor of Merit Award for outstanding academic performance in Industrial Chemistry. He currently works at the Centro Paula Souza (CPS) as a project manager at the International Relations Office (ARInter) and as a teacher at ETEC Prof. Luiz Pires Barbosa. In parallel, he is conducting postdoctoral research at São Paulo State University (UNESP), focusing on the herbicidal activity and mode of action of anthranilic acid–derived diarylamines, under the supervision of Dr. Rosana Marta Kolb.
Paula Rodrigues Granato Has been a Professor at Fatec Itapetininga since 2010, specializing in the strategic intersection of global power dynamics, trade policy, and international negotiation. A Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), she holds an M.A. in Development and International Aid from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). Her current research focuses on the complexities of Global Value Chains (GVCs) and their socio-economic impact within the contemporary geopolitical landscape.
Erica Schmidt I hold a PhD in Literary Studies from UNESP (2023), including a research period at Universität Hamburg (Germany) funded by CAPES. My academic foundation was built at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, where I earned both my Bachelor’s in Languages and Translation (1999) and my postgraduate degree in Foreign Trade (2002). I also hold a Master’s in Literature and Literary Criticism from PUC-SP (2017). Currently, I teach Portuguese, English, Literature, and Cultural Studies at FATEC (São Paulo, Sebrae, and Osasco) and ETEC Sebrae. My professional trajectory includes significant experience in academic management, having served as a course coordinator and teacher also at ETEC Prof. Dr. Doroti Kanashiro Toyohara (2016-2019). Following my doctoral research on the intertextuality between Isabel Allende’s “Eva Luna” and Scheherazade, my current research focuses on “The Arabian Nights” and female discourse/literature. I bridge this scholarly expertise with extensive experience in internationalization, designing and delivering English-Medium Instruction (EMI) and Portuguese as a Foreign Language courses. With a career spanning the corporate sector, including roles at PwC and HSBC, I bring a unique global perspective to the classroom. At Royal Caribbean International, I worked in the HR department on board ships operating in South America, the United States, and Europe. Today, I lead some cultural projects and technical visits that foster intercultural competence, connecting literary theory to real-world practice. I am fluent in English and Spanish, with intermediate French and basic German and Turkish. My profile combines a strong academic foundation with unique international expertise, committed to innovation and a globalized approach to education.
Wilson Bueno de Oliveira Júnior Júnior Bueno has a professional trajectory marked by experience in different fields. He holds a technical degree in Management and Business, with an emphasis on Accounting and Administration, and worked for approximately a decade in public accounting, engaging with governmental institutional relations and operating within the dynamics of parliamentary and administrative processes, as well as political interests. He is graduated in Languages (Portuguese/English) and currently works as a Portuguese and English teacher at Centro Paula Souza and at the municipal school system of Botucatu (SP). He has also taught Ethics and Citizenship at ETEC, an experience that plays a significant role in his educational perspective. In the academic field, he holds a specialization in Portuguese Grammar and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Linguistics at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), under guidance aligned with an algorithmic-bias approach. In addition to teaching, he has worked with translation, interpreting, text revision, and literary criticism, and speaks Spanish, Italian, and English. Throughout his career, he has also participated in a cultural exchange program at Centro Paula Souza as a group leader, accompanying students in Worthing, England, UK. As a personal note, he also holds technical training in aviation, with certification as a flight attendant.
